FAQ
A New Beast in the 757 – Your Dumpster Rental Questions, Answered.
What dumpster sizes do you offer?
We offer three beastly sizes to handle any project in Hampton Roads:
- 12-Yard Container: Perfect for “Small Foot” projects like garage cleanouts, attic purges, or small yard debris.
- 20-Yard Container: Our most popular size! Great for kitchen remodels, roofing jobs, or clearing out the house before a move.
- 30-Yard Container: For the “Bigfoot” jobs. Best for large home renovations, estate cleanouts, and major construction sites.
Where do you deliver?
We proudly serve the entire 757 area, including Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton, and Newport News. If you’re in Hampton Roads, the Sasquatch can reach you!
How much does a dumpster rental cost?
Check our up-to-date rates, including promotions and discounts, in our homepage.
What CAN’T go in the bin? (Prohibited Items)
To keep the Sasquatch safe and follow local Virginia regulations, we cannot accept:
- Hazardous waste, chemicals, or liquids.
- Tires and car batteries.
- Paint and oil.
- Appliances containing Freon (fridges/AC units).
- Asbestos, explosives, or ammunition.
- Propane tanks.
Do I need a permit for my dumpster?
If you’re placing the container in your own driveway or on private property in Chesapeake or Virginia Beach, you generally do not need a permit. However, if the Sasquatch needs to sit on a city street or public right-of-way, a permit from the city’s Public Works or Permits department may be required.
Will the dumpster damage my driveway?
Our trucks and containers are heavy-duty beasts. While we take every precaution, DCS Containers is not responsible for damage to driveways, pavers, or lawns. We recommend selecting a flat, hard surface for placement. If you’re worried about your driveway, feel free to lay down some plywood for extra protection!
How high can I fill the container?
Please keep your trash level with the rim of the dumpster. For safety reasons, we cannot haul containers that are overfilled or have items hanging off the sides. If it’s “peaking” over the top, your Squatch Box is too full!
Do you offer same-day delivery?
We move faster than a Sasquatch sighting! We often offer same-day or next-day delivery across Hampton Roads. The earlier you call, the better the chance we can drop a bin today.
What happens if it rains?
Rainwater can add weight to your debris (especially if you have carpeting or drywall). To avoid going over your tonnage limit, we recommend covering the container with a tarp if a big storm is heading toward the 757.
How do I schedule a pickup?
When your bin is full and you’re ready to “Squatch your trash,” call 757-634-3005. We don’t automatically pick up after 7 days in case you need more time. Contact us at least one day before your desired pickup date so we can schedule your haul and help you avoid an extra day’s rental charge.
